We received the following email on Tuesday, 25 Jun 19, from one of our deployed Troops:

“Hey guys! I have recently been informed about y’alls organization through a friend that I am currently deployed with! I am a born and raised Southern Louisiana boy currently residing in the north eastern parts of xxxxxxxx as a BlackHawk crewchief. We, as a whole, at our locations do not have many things you can easily find on a larger, more established military post over seas. Heading to this deployment I decided not to get my personal guitar shipped out to my location because of the simple fact that our mail rarely finds itself to the proper destination. Therefore, my love for music and playing guitar was a self derived passion that I slowly taught myself through pure curiosity. After a few years of continuing to fall in love with acoustic guitar playing, I have found that I never realized how much playing guitar truly helped the mental side of everyday life until I found myself here, in the true “middle of nowhere”. Having said that, I am just contacting you guys to see what other information I could get about this amazing organization and what I could do to help in any way. Thank you so much for your time and I hope to hear from yall soon!”

We received the following email on Tuesday, 25 Jun 19, from one of our deployed Troops:

“Hello from the sunny country of xxxxxxxx. My name is xxxxxxxx. I am heading forward to xxxxxxxx and just got to my unit last week. I had an electric guitar when I was in middle school (years ago). While I was at the mall this weekend for a company trip I stopped at a music store and was thinking about purchasing an acoustic guitar. Then I was told about your foundation. I think it’s great what you do for the troops and would love to be a lucky recipient of one of those great guitars. Thank you so much.”

We received the following thank you, this afternoon, from the Wife of our deployed Troop that received Guitar #114 (NOTE: This Husband and Wife are deployed to the same area):

“Hi Myra, The guitar made it to xxxxxxxx. I wish you could have seen his reaction when the mail personnel carried it in his office! He was very surprised. We can’t have phones in our work building or I would have taken pictures. Thank you for all you do! Sincerely,”
