“Good afternoon, my name is xxxxxxxx and I am reaching out in regard to your “Guitars for the Troops” campaign. My husband is an NCO in the army and is currently deployed in the Middle East. Throughout this deployment, he has been looking for a guitar, as he used to play before entering the military. Is there an application to see if he qualifies for this program? Thank you for supporting our soldiers,”

“Good afternoon, Myra: My guitar arrived today, and I couldn’t be happier! It felt like Christmas morning! Thank you so much for making this possible, it’s a huge morale booster. Ever since I was young, I’ve wanted to learn how to play the guitar but was never able to pursue it due to family issues. Fast forward to my adulthood, I never thought I’d be perusing this dream while deployed in the middle east. The Red Cross teaches guitar lessons for free every week and I’ve been learning a lot. However, practice is key when learning how to play an instrument and I was not sure how to go about getting a guitar. I deeply appreciate your support and look forward to entertaining my family back home once deployment is complete. One of my peers is big into photography and took a nice Christmas picture with the new guitar, thought I’d share them with you and your team. v/r”

“Good morning! My name is SGT xxxxxxxx with the xxxxxxxx currently operating under xxxxxxxx over in a small base in xxxxxxxx. We have a campfire we all gather around almost every night since we only have about 80 troops here and thought about getting a guitar in here for the team so I figured I would reach out! The intent is to use it for the chapel whenever we finish building it as well. Thank you and hope to hear back! Respectfully,”
