” Myra, hello, my name is xxxxxxxx. I am currently deployed to xxxxxxxx and attempting to learn to play the guitar. I am currently in the Sunday Guitar lessons at the Red Cross. I would like to be on the list to receive a guitar to continue my Guitar learning and playing. Thank you for this program that y’all have supporting the troops.”

“Hello, my name is 1LT xxxxxxxx. I hope you are well. I am currently deployed and have some goals for this deployment to include fitness, finances, and learning a new skill. I would love to learn guitar as I have always wanted to learn and have the perfect opportunity to do so, as I focus on self-improvement for the months I am away from my family and my home. I would greatly appreciate the donation of a guitar. I would like to be added to the list to get a guitar for a deployed soldier. If I am lucky enough to receive a guitar, I would like an acoustic guitar. If you have any questions, please let me know. I appreciate your time and consideration. Thank you!”

Due to the increasing costs of Priority Mail postage fees, packaging materials, inventory purchases and lack of funding, we will unfortunately have to stop taking requests for care packages/musical instruments from our Troops. It is heartbreaking for us but Hearts to Heroes, Inc., will be discontinued on 31 December 2024. We currently have 5 requests, for guitars, on our list and we are working on getting those requests fulfilled. Thank you so much to everyone that has supported us over the past 17 years!
