We received the following message on Wednesday, 8 Jul 20, from one of our deployed Troops:
“Good afternoon mam, Im xxxxxxxx with the xxxxxxxx deployed to the Middle East. One of my Sargents told me to reach out to you in hopes that you could help me with getting a guitar. One of the other soldiers in my tent knows how to play classical guitar, and said he’d help me out To learn during this deployment if I can get one. Due to COVID it’s been a struggle to get mail, and they are hard to come by. Thank you! I appreciate all that you do for us!”
The following messages were received on Wednesday, 15 Jul 20:
“Hello Mam, This is xxxxxxxx, I wanted to check that you received my Mailing address.”
Great! Thank you so much! My Sgt just received his. He gave me my first lesson. I want to say your charity is amazing the guitar he received had everything from the case to new strings, picks, and a whole lot more. I’m going to get everyone in my company to sign mine, after the deployment ends, and I’m taking home to our battalion headquarters. Again, I can’t thank you enough! This is what the world needs positivity and support. When, I get home I’d like to help as well, please let me know what I can do to support the soldiers I left behind.”
Guitar #173 was shipped to our Troops this afternoon!
