Hearts to Heroes was contacted by Eddie Icard about becoming involved with “Guitars for the Troops.” The donated guitars are received and repaired by Charles “Mickey” Amberg and William “Bill” Cox and then prepared for shipping by Eddie Icard. Once the guitar is received by Hearts to Heroes, it is then shipped to one of our troops located in either Iraq or Afghanistan.
The article mentions that there are three guitars over in Iraq and Afghanistan, that is incorrect, there is only one right now but another one will be shipped within the next few weeks and as soon as other guitars are repaired, they will be shipped to the troops.
To the right is a picture of the first guitar that was shipped to a Marine group in Afghanistan along with 5 other care packages.
