Hearts to Heroes is looking for guitars or other used string instruments for our Troops. If you would like to donate a guitar/string instrument, you can contact me at 478-230-0663, myra_foskey@yahoo.com or Eddie Icard at 478-922-9835.
Hearts to Heroes is a Nonprofit 501(c)(3) Public Charity so a receipt, for tax purposes, will be provided to anyone that donates a guitar/string instrument. Please provide us with your name, address and an estimated value of the instrument.
Hearts to Heroes became involved with “Guitars for the Troops” in January 2011 with Eddie Icard, Mickey Amberg and Bill Cox. Since that time, 27 guitars have been shipped to our Troops! Hearts to Heroes just recently received a request, from our Troops, for 5 Acoustic Guitars. With everyone’s help, we are hoping to be able to ship these guitars to our Troops as soon as possible.
Below is a comment that Hearts to Heroes received from one of our Troops about the guitars that they are receiving:
“Thank you so much for this opportunity, these guys who received the guitars have learned songs and play for the guys in the tent. Music really soothes the atmosphere during the holidays, kind of makes the unit feel like they are sitting around a campfire back at home. We owe that special moment to you and all of our men and women who support us. It’s almost impossible to transmit, what you have done for this unit. To be honest, we had some guys in the dumps, so to speak, and those guitars have been shared through the tent. I, as a leader, have seen the morale increase and the bonding increase immediately.
