We received the below message on Friday, 15 Jul 21, from one of our deployed Troops:

“Good Morning Ma’am! My name is SGT xxxxxxxx and I am in the army currently deployed over in xxxxxxxx. I heard about your program and was interested in getting more information about it. Respectfully,”

Response from Hearts to Heroes: “Hi xxxxxxxx! Thank you for contacting us! Our organization ships musical instruments to our deployed Troops. We mainly deal with guitars but we have shipped ukuleles, violins, banjos and clarinets. Right now, we have 31 on our waiting list so we cannot estimate as to how long it will take to fulfill a particular request. We are a small nonprofit organization and we are doing our best to get the requests fulfilled as soon as we can but due to the COVID situation, we are having to deal with some issues that are out of our control. When our Troops submit a request, they need to indicate the type of instrument they are interested in and they also need to include their shipping address. When I get to a Troops request, I will contact them to verify that their deployment status and shipping address have not changed and once their instrument has been shipped, I will send them an email providing them with a picture and the USPS Tracking Number. I hope this helps or if you have any questions, please let me know! Thank you for your Service! Take care and God Bless!”

Response from Troop: “Ma’am, Thank you so much for your quick response. Is there anywhere I could get on your waiting list, or are you not taking anyone at this time?”

Response from Hearts to Heroes: “Hi xxxxxxxx! I’m still taking requests, I just won’t be able to estimate as to how long it will be before you receive it. Take care and God Bless!”

Response from Troop: “That is fine. If you don’t mind I would like to be put on the waiting list. I am looking for a guitar.”

#331 was shipped to our Troops this afternoon!
