We received the below message on Sunday, 23 May 21, from one of our deployed Troops:
“Hello Ma’am, My name is xxxxxxxx, I am currently deployed in xxxxxxxx and was told about your program. It didn’t have much info on how to apply for an instrument but said to email you about receiving one, I would be very interested if I qualify for it. Thank you hope to hear from you! Respectfully”
My response to Troop: “Hi xxxxxxxx! I have a guitar to ship to you but I need you to provide me with your shipping address. Please let me know. Thanks!”
Response from Troop: “I apologize for the late response, I was out service area for missions. I don’t think I could use a full-size instrument anymore with my limited space for personal items. Do you have any other options such as a banjolin or banjolele? If not I appreciate the service you provide for the troops.”
My response to Troop: “Hi xxxxxxxx! I have a mandolin. If you would like to try it, provide me with your shipping address and I can get it shipped to you on Monday. Take care and God Bless!”
Response from Troop: “That will be interesting to try thank you.”
