We received the below message on Thursday, 20 May 21, from one of our deployed Troops:
“Good morning Ms. Foskey, My name is xxxxxxxx, I am deployed in xxxxxxxx with the Army and will be here for the next few months. I love playing guitar and have been playing since I was in middle school. I was not able to bring my guitar due to limited space/things that we could bring to this deployment. I heard about your program that gives out guitars for deployed Soldiers. This would mean a lot to me if I can play guitar here to release stress, relax, and entertain other Soldiers. How do I request for a guitar? Please let me know what information you need from me, I will be happy to provide. Thank you so much for everything you do for the troops. Very Respectfully,”
The below message was received on Sunday, 27 Jun 21:
Hello Ms. Foskey, Thank you so much! I am so excited! My address and deployment status has not changed. I was actually wondering if I could get a ukulele instead of guitar? But if there is only guitar available, it is okay too. Thank you so much for your support and generosity. Very Respectfully,”
