We received the below message on Tuesday, 11 May 21, from one of our deployed Troops:

“Hello Ms. Foskey, I’m xxxxxxxx.  I’m 23, and I’m a Sergeant in the U.S Army.  This is my second deployment and one of my buddies out here made me aware of your program.  This is my first time hearing about it and it blows my mind how thoughtful some people can be and I really appreciate it.  It’s a blessing for me to know there’s still Americans out there who support us.  It means the world to people like me.  Music has always been an important piece of my life.  I’ve been playing music since I was about 8.  I play the drums, bass, piano, flute, guitar, ukulele, and more … lol  I’m not kidding. I guess God decided to bless me with such a gift, and I’m nothing but grateful. Being out here away from my wife and home can get lonely at some times. Music always helps me calm down, and just take a day at a time. I really didn’t know how to or what to write when submitting a request so I thought on just telling about myself. I’ve played for years as I mentioned, I’ve played in worship teams, I’ve taught lessons, and just so many amazing opportunities. I still have about 8 months out here and I hope I’m able to be reviewed for this amazing program. Once again I appreciate everything you guys do. God bless. Very respectfully,”
