We received the following message on Tuesday, 27 Aug 19, from one of our deployed Troops:
Troop: “Hearts to Heroes, Inc., I am currently deployed with a small group of Soldiers. Several of us play the guitar as well as various other instruments and others are eager to learn to play. If we were able to receive one of your guitars, it would be a great morale booster for our troops and we promise to keep your legacy alive by passing it on to the group that replaces us. Thank you for your time and consideration.”
Myra: “Hi xxxxxxxx! We will be happy to send you and your group a guitar! Please send your shipping address to my email at myra_foskey@yahoo.com and we will get one sent to you as soon as we can! Out of curiosity, what other type of instruments does your group play? Thank you for your Service! Take care and God Bless! Myra”
Troop: “We have someone who plays bass guitar. I am trying to learn guitar but played the violin for 12 years. Thank you all so much, we will be sure to send a group photo for your page. How long does it typically take?”
Myra: “I’m hoping to get a guitar sent to you within a couple of weeks. I’m shipping out a guitar today to another Troop and then I have one more request, ahead of yours to fulfill. We have a bass electric that we will send with the acoustic guitar if anyone in your group is interested, just let me know. I received your address, Thank You! I will send you an email letting you know when your guitar has been shipped. Take care and God Bless! Myra”
Troop: “They are interested, that would be absolutely amazing, then we could have a little ensemble.”
Myra: “Great!”
Troop: “Will you keep me informed of ship date so I know when to be expecting it? Our mail room is a little off at times.”
Myra: “I will! When it’s been shipped, I will include the USPS Tracking Number and also a picture of the guitars that you will be receiving.”
Troop: “Your organization is truly amazing. I will spread the good news amongst the Soldiers.”
Myra: “Thank You!”
Guitars #128 and #129 were shipped to our Troops this afternoon!
