“My name is SSG xxxxxxxx and I received your contact information from my unit here in xxxxxxxx where we are currently deployed. I was wondering what the process is to request a tongue drum from your organization. I have never played before and would like to learn while I have the time to do it. I appreciate your help and thank you for what your organization does for the Service Members. I look forward to your response. Very Respectfully,”

Dear Ms. Foskey, my name is SSG xxxxxxxx, I am currently stationed in xxxxxxxx. One of my fellow soldiers informed me about what your organization does, and I was wondering if at all possible if I could request an acoustic Bass. Having one would greatly assist me in making the time I have here fly by. Thank you,”

“Hi, recently got to the xxxxxxxx xxxxxxxx and another Soldier from xx told me about your program. He also gave me my 4th pick for my dog tag chain… I have 1 pick for Desert Storm, Iraqi Freedom, Inherent Resolve and now Spartan Shield. The guitars at the USO are lame, and the Red Cross is even worse. Please help me in my angst. Thanx,”
