News and Notices

We received the below message on Sunday, 12 Jun 22, from one of our deployed Troops:

“Good afternoon, my name is WO1 xxxxxxxxx. I’m active duty Army, currently deployed in xxxxxxxx. I would like to request a guitar. I will be in this location until Feb 2023. Thank you for supporting the Military!”

Note From Hearts to Heroes: We responded to the Troops request to let him know that due to a size restriction for where he is deployed (“Mail of all classes must fit in a mail sack. Mail may not exceed the following dimensions: Maximum length 27 inches, Maximum width 14 inches and Maximum height 14 inches.”) that we would not be able to send him a guitar.

Message From Troop, 13 Jun 22: “Good morning, thank you for your response. Would you be able to ship a ukulele then? I think that should be able to fit those dimensions.”

#387 was shipped to our Troops this morning!

We received the below message on Wednesday, 23 Mar 22, from one of our deployed Chaplains:

“Good day Myra, I have some fellow teammates that received tongue drums and I was impressed with it and believe it would be a great asset to the chapel. Would you please send me one? Thank you so much! Very Respectfully,”

#385 is on its way to Germany then on to Poland for our Troops, shipped this afternoon!

We have been contacted by a Red Cross group that is currently deployed to Poland, providing support to our Troops, asking for our help (see below messages). We have a banjo, saxophone and trumpet that we are going to work on getting shipped to them while we work on getting some guitars in.

Message #1 – “Hello Hearts to Hero’s – Currently deployed with a large number of soldiers in support of the xxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxx and we are looking to start a music therapy program. We have a couple of dedicated soldiers who are looking to volunteer and teach some guitar lessons. Would it be AT ALL possible for us to request two acoustic guitars to be shipped to our FPO address? Any support would be truly appreciated. We would also LOVE some accessories and any other instruments you might be willing to provide. Thank you for all your organization is doing to support our military. All my best to ALL of you. Have a blessed day.”

Message #2 – “Myra – Thank you so much for all you and your organization does to support the troops. We would appreciate any and all instruments you can provide. We are looking at building a place where troops can express themselves through music therapy and take lessons. These instruments will be available for troops to check out and use, while they are on deployment. Our xxxxxxxx Germany office will be more than happy to receive these instruments and then forward them on to us in Poland. Truly appreciate you and your team. Hope everyone has a blessed and wonderful day.”
