We received the following message on Wednesday, 28 Apr 21, from one of our deployed Chaplains:
“Myra, Greetings. My name is xxxxxxxx, and I am an active duty Army chaplain currently deployed to xxxxxxxx with the xxxxxxxx. I have been faithfully learning the ukulele for a number of months now to try to enhance my ministry to the troops, and also for my personal enjoyment. However, I am in need of a better ukulele. The starter one I have is cheap and it’s starting to show. I know you are called “guitars for troops,” but might you consider sending me a ukulele? While I’d also love to get and learn guitar, realistically I probably need to stick with ukulele, which is an instrument I’ve come to love anyway. I currently have a concert ukulele, but I am looking to acquire a tenor ukulele if possible. If you need anything further from me to fulfill this request, please let me know. Thanks so much for considering this! Blessings,”
