We received the following message on Saturday, 1 Sept 18, about a guitar:

Message: “My name is xxxxxx and I am an active duty Army soldier and have served in the military for over 20 years. I have deployed 6 times overseas and during one of my trips a soldier had a guitar that had been sent to him and his playing made all the difference in the world to us and to him. My son is in the Marine Corps and currently deployed. He mentioned to me recently that he wishes he had a guitar where he was so he could play for the guys after coming off patrols. Unfortunately, I do not have the money to go buy him a guitar and send it to him. I came across your website today as I was doing research and I was wondering if you could help. Thank you for whatever your able to do.”

Message From Hearts to Heroes, Inc.: “Hi xxxxxx! We will be happy to send him a guitar! When we ship our Troops a guitar, we include a case, extra strings, picks, tuner, strap, stringer tool and guitar wipes. We try to provide them with what they need for the guitar. Please provide me with his FPO Address and we will get one shipped to him within the next several days! I will send you an email once it’s been shipped. Take care and God Bless!

Message: “Myra, Wow! You have no idea how encouraging this will be for him – actually you probably do since you have this organization in place. Does the guitar have a soft case or something to protect it? This is really exciting. What should I tell him? What kind of guitar do you send? God bless you and your organization!”

We shipped Guitar #62 out this afternoon, 4 Sept 18.
