“Goodmorning, my name is xxxxxxxx and I am currently deployed to xxxxxxxx and I would appreciate a guitar. There is a soldier teaching others to play and the patients and myself find the music uplifting and relaxing.”

“Good Afternoon Ms. Myra. I am CPT xxxxxxxx and I received your contact information from one of my Soldiers here in xxxxxxxx where we are currently deployed. I was wondering what the process is to request a guitar from your organization. I have never played before and would like to learn while I have the time to do it. I appreciate your help and thank you for what your organization does for the Service Members. I look forward to your response. Have a good day! Thank you. Respectfully,”

“Hello Myra, I’m SGT xxxxxxxx from California in xxxxxxxx currently. I heard about your program, I just arrived in country like 4 weeks ago which the year just ended, and I am already feeling this deployment is going to stretch. I’ve always wanted to learn to play the guitar but have never been able to find the time to do so. I want to learn so I can go back to the states and play for my Godson and my nieces. I also want to teach the soldiers here at xxxxxxxx as well & pass down the guitar to them for them to learn while they are here. I feel like you can always further your knowledge and let emotions out with instruments by feeling the music, like who doesn’t love music right? I’ve got nothing but time and nothing to do but learn and teach my soldiers since I mentioned to them about guitar playing and they are eager to learn. I’m sure you get multiple requests, but if you are able to send me one, I would love to learn how to play some songs for my family by the time I get home and also my soldiers here. Thank you for everything you guys do to support us while we are here, at the end of the day you guys are the ones supporting us overall and we appreciate that very much. Thank you again. Respectfully,”
